Privacy policy

L’Ecole Active collects and processes the personal data that parents transmit when they send us an email, complete the online contact form or fill in the form when registering their child.

We create personal data files for our pupils who are enrolled and in the process of enrolment, in order to process their enrolment and admission as well as to manage any contractual relationship with the persons concerned or their legal representatives. In particular, data relating to the payment of school fees is used exclusively for internal purposes.

Any corresponding collection and analysis of personal data is treated with confidentiality. We only pass on personal data to partners when necessary for the School’s activities and operations. The personal data collected is not communicated to third parties without the prior consent of the persons concerned or their legal representatives.

This data is never sold to third parties.

Consent to the processing of personal data

By submitting data to Ecole Active, you confirm that in accordance with the provisions of Article 4 (11) of the RGPD (General Data Protection Regulation) which came into force on May 25^th 2018, Ecole Active, Route de Malagnou,39bis, 1208 Geneva, Switzerland, as data controller, is authorised to process and use or communicate your personal data for the purposes of carrying out its educational activities and operations and sending notices related to the school and its associated services. This consent also applies to the sending of e-mails in accordance with the provisions of the RGPD.

You also agree that Ecole Active may have your personal data processed by sub-contractors in accordance with the conditions set out in the GDPR. Contracts are entered into with our subcontractors and in particular with the caterer who delivers meals to the school. This means that they cannot use your personal data without our directives. They do not share your personal data with any organisation other than us. They keep it safe and secure for as long as we ask them to.

Consent is given for an unlimited period, subject to revocation. At the end of the contractual relationship, data concerning our former students is retained for statistical and quality control purposes, unless you formally request that it be deleted. When we change service providers, we formally request that the former provider completely delete our students’ data from their files, servers and folders.

In certain circumstances, we have a legal obligation to disclose information. For example, in the event of a court order or when we cooperate with other Swiss supervisory authorities in investigating complaints or enquiries.

In all cases, we ensure that we have a legal basis authorising us to communicate the information and to justify our decision.
