The 64-page book presents the school’s teaching methods through illustrations, photographs and texts written for the occasion. Small meetings, class councils where everyone learns about democracy, philosophy workshops, library sessions, mediation training, autumn camps, exploring the garden and the forest, research projects and their oral presentations: it’s through these activities and many other projects that fundamental learning takes place here.

Yvanne Chenouf, a leading figure in children’s literature, and Philippe Meirieu, active in the new education movement, add their own perspectives to this self-portrait, that is further enrichened by bibliographical references
